Please note: This product is a REFILL be sure to provide a Butterfly Pavilion Habitat in which your butterflies will emerge, or purchase a complete kit. Due to Customs restrictions, we are unable to supply the Holding Logs and Pipette for orders shipped outside of the UK.

All non-live orders leave our offices within 1-3 working days unless the item(s) are out of stock, or if your order includes a Live product with a chosen send-out date of 3 weeks or less away (in which case we will dispatch all goods, live and non-live, on the requested send out date).
Once your order is dispatched, standard delivery time for the UK is approximately 1- 4 working days, depending on your location. Please allow 10 days for orders outside of the UK. A Next Working Day option is available for UK delivery only (excludes weekends).

"Nature never fails to impress. An annual event when the whole family just love watching the tiny Caterpillars grow, cocoon and then the anticipation of the butterflies emerging. We keep each other updated about the progress of our pot of Caterpillars and meet up for the release of the butterflies. Thank you, Insect Lore, for allowing us to experience the magic."
"I'm nit sure if one caterpillar died in an early stage or there were just 4 in one of the cups. . . But all caterpillar were lovely to observe in their development, so we got 19 beautiful butterflies!"
"We do this with the children every year, and they really engage with, and enjoy it. This year 2 tubs bore all their butterflies while the other 2 bore only 2 and 3 respectively, but I suppose thats nature. I always notice our butterflies take longer to develop than the information suggests, so it might be worth taking that into account. We will do it again next year."

"I've purchased the caterpillar refill cups a number of times and use these in class with primary age children. Watching the caterpillars grow and change is a huge part of our summer term topic, and the children use close observation, drawing, measuring and writing skills as they record what is happening in a scientific way. The hatching days are always so exciting, and releasing the butterflies is always magical. This year, a rather warm classroom meant that the caterpillars grew, pupated & hatched in record time, so watch out for this if you're planning your term's activities :) Will definitely order again!"
