Ce kit éducatif offre aux enfants une précieuse leçon de métamorphose, de sciences, de structuration, de patience et d'étude du cycle de vie. Grâce à son habitat géant et spacieux, il est idéal pour élever des papillons à la maison ou en classe.

Le cycle du papillon peut prendre entre 3 et 5 semaines selon la période de l'année, veuillez en tenir compte lors de votre commande.

Voyez une transformation étonnante

6 à 10 chenilles (cultures de papillons vivants) arriveront dans deux gobelets en plastique transparent avec toute la nourriture nutritive dont elles ont besoin. Placez les gobelets dans un endroit sûr, à l'abri de la lumière directe du soleil. Les chenilles y resteront et mangeront, fileront de la soie et grandiront jusqu'à dix fois leur taille initiale ! Au bout de sept à dix jours, elles seront suspendues la tête en bas et durciront en chrysalides (aussi appelées pupes).

Élevez vos propres papillons

Une fois les chrysalides durcies, déplacez-les délicatement vers l'habitat des papillons. Il leur faudra environ sept à dix jours supplémentaires pour se transformer en papillons adultes.

Le Pavillon à Papillons est un conteneur cylindrique en maille réutilisable, idéal pour observer les papillons de près ! Lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé, il se replie pour un rangement facile. Pour élever d'autres papillons, commandez simplement des recharges de Chenilles ici .

If they drop down once they have chrysalis what should we do?
Hello, Chrysalides forming on the bottom, or the side of the cup are very common. They either fall, are knocked down by other caterpillars, or simply choose to form on the bottom. Sometimes a couple of the caterpillars will form chrysalides sooner than the others. Please wait at least three days before moving any of them (you can wait longer if the remaining caterpillar needs longer to harden, but no more than 7 days from the first one forming). • Use the Chrysalis Station to transfer the chrysalides still attached to the lid over to the habitat • Gently scoop up the chrysalides from the food with a spoon and place on a piece of kitchen paper on the bottom of the butterfly garden, close to the side. Be sure to carefully remove any silk/frass/food from around the outsides of the chrysalides. • Line the bottom of the habitat with a kitchen paper and place the chrysalides on top. They need to be spread out and pushed up along the very edges of the habitat so that when they emerge, they can crawl straight up the net to expand and dry their wings – this is very important as they must be vertical for their wings to dry in the correct shape.
